@ vinod

thanks for the comment. but i think 15bhp is enough coz if you want more then you have a good option of YZF r15!!! wat u say?

anyways,
once the bike will be commercially availably, probably in oct 08, i think yamaha will take over the indian market and indian roads!!

bajaj and herohonda are needed to do something or they will be out of this competition!!

This bike have no rivals coz it looks only of its kind different from any other bike in India as now. I think this is best one can have today in terms of style, comfort, mileage, power. Its like a complete package of what Indian road demands.
Well done Yamaha!!!!!!!

Still confused with the market strategy of yamaha.FZ 16....
i think thy sud increase the BHP from 14.7ps to 15.9 & the mileage 45 in city....then it can rule the road as well as threat for the rivals......make it yamaha dont waste time...it can make the differnce.
all the best.....

  Anonymous

September 27, 2008 at 11:44 AM

yes there should b diference in the power...
its mater of fact that buyers are buying this for power...
yamaha should fulfill the demand and then suply........

@ Anonymous ::

Personally i ll tell u that pulsar is best suitable for tall height as m also 6 feet tall & also having pulsar.. ( as at tht time i dont have another option coz of my height!! :p )

pulsar 220 has 1140 mm height & fz is having 1045 mm... i dont think it will make a huge difference!! still You ll always have better option... dont hear anyone & go to the showroom and check it...

@ Mohan ::

Rs. 73,000 onroad price is not toooo high!!
& as it is yamaha!! 150cc bike will range u between 60k to 70k...

Hi Bike Guys this is Parvesh....from Delhi..
I am agreed that FZ16 is great and want to buy but i have a doubt....and fear that some people told me that it has only self start and if somehow it stop working how can u start as there is no kick option, pple said that it will consume or we have to replace battery early.

  Anonymous

October 23, 2008 at 11:45 PM

are... its not a matter to worry about..

even pulsar 220 is having only self start & i haven't heard any self start problem in that!!

& m also using my pulsar since about 2 years and i haven't face any problem in self start!!

i never use kick to start my bike!! continuously since 2 year!! even i can say that i have never used kick!!

so bro... dont worry!!

a revolutionary kind of bike... after looking at that bike "TRANSFORMER" movie comes to my mind...it seems that in an min this bike would convert in to some robot... thats the kind of look that has been given to it... i would prefer FZ 16 instead of R15...

Hi Guys,

I liked the design, its really eye catching, dammmmmm good.
Yamaha did a real good job.

I am also planning to buy this ASAP, still have some quires to be clear…….

It will be great help from the owners of the bike who has already got this bike, if they can provide a real feedback.

• How smooth is this as compare to Pulsar & Unicorn?
• Is it comfortable on long drive?
• What is the exact mileage you guys are getting?
• Does this bike look good with front number plat?
• Can some one upload the Bike pictures with number plates?
• How comfortable if two people will seat on this?

Thank you vey much in Advance
Eager to know all this from you guys.

Thanks

Thanks for the replies guys.

Finally I booked FZ16 and I am expecting to get this bike tomorrow.

I went to company showroom in Chennai, had a talk with manager and he said they are getting mileage around 62 for their test ride bike. But he says it will give around 50 to be safe side, this gives me a big hope, but I am happy if it gives more then 45 and if gives as that guy said it will be a real a gift from Yamaha to India.
Hope to enjoy the monster as you guys named it.

I will keep posting my experience.

Thanks

its bullshit..
this bike by no way is small ...
its just perfect ..
its light weight i agreee..
but how can u expect milage , looks , wide tyres, heavy vehicle in single piece.. even yamahma r15 has very small tyres..
this bike is worth 73 k
becasue its the most balanced on in the segment..
wassay??

  Anonymous

November 30, 2008 at 5:44 PM

i dont agree with u bro... when u give 10 to 15 k more.. u must expect something extra...

  Anonymous

December 4, 2008 at 4:45 AM

its far better in terms of smoothness,&please donot insult the fz by comparing it with pulsar .
mielage is 45-50,but if you ride sensiubly, you can have 50+.
remove the "sarre gaurd" & front no. plate .
after your delivery reply .
its dibyanshu,from jamshedpur

there is no doubt that the bike is too good…it is the real attention grabber….
but i am sad to say that the management of yamaha india sucks…i visited three times to yamaha showroom which is located in malad ..the very first showroom of yamaha india pvt ltd in India, but they had not responded properly..Also they did not deliver the bike at the promised date.I think Yamaha should think abt the management…bcoz without the good management and customer satisfaction the company despite of its good brandname cannot grow in country like india.
